Some great results from this year are shown with the '100%' and 'Week 2' markers. For instance, our model successfully predicted 10/14 playoff teams after the first predictions were placed. Similarly, 13/14 were predicted at least onece by the third prediction was placed (Week 4). Another positive result was the great success in sustaining the prediction over the season. 9/14 teams were consistently projected to make the playoffs for more than 85% of the predictions.
The predictions from this model that did not work were the Chicago Bears and the Cleveland Browns. The Chicago Bears miss is more understandable and is somewhat of an outlier, since they were not likely to make the playoffs until a stretch towards the end of the season along with teams ahead of them losing. The Browns prediction is a miss, since this team is a team with a top offense and defense.
Other teams which were also predicted consistently were the Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots in the AFC, and in the NFC the Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, and Arizona Cardinals. In addition, the Atlanta Falcons and Minnesota Vikings popped up once from the predictor after good wins and bad losses from other top teams.
