The predictors are built upon machine learning (ML) algorithms, and they combine team statistics to make predictions. These statistics are pre-processed and modified to form datasets which the predictor interprets.
Currently Atomic-Stats has separate ML models to predict NFL regular season game winners, NFL playoff seeding, and NFL playoff game winners. For the NBA, there are models for NBA playoff series winners, and NBA total games per playoff series.
The weekly scoreboard shows the prediction and final result of all NFL games from the current week.
Results for points scored are colored to label a difference that was within 3pts, within 8pts, within 10pts, or more than 10pts different than the results
Correct winner is colored based on whether the prediction was Correct or Incorrect
The following table shows the official playoff seeding prediction based upon the current NFL games played so far. This table will also show whether each team is trending up , sideways, or down after the previous week of games.
