The regular season predictions were a great success. Having 90.625% success is notable - translates to predicting the outcome correctly for 29 of the 32 teams. Some notable misses were predicting the Dallas Cowboys and Indianapolis Colts would be a playoff team. Similarly, the only other miss was predicting the Houston Texans would not make the playoffs. Also, it was successfully able to predict 1 of the 2 teams that would appear in the Super Bowl
Although the regular season was a success, the predictions within the playoffs were more sporadic, starting off with predicting only one outcome correctly in the wildcard round. However this was followed up by 100% success in the divisional round, including the biggest upset of the weekend - the Tennessee Titans over the Baltimore Ravens. After that, the algorithm liked the Tennessee Titans and San Francisco 49ers a bit too much, and the Kansas City Chiefs not enough.
Work for this upcoming season will focus more on the playoff games to have better overall success for the playoffs.
